Coolidge Aquatic Center

The Aquatic Center for the City of Coolidge was a fast-track project collaboration between the city and Haydon Building Corporation out of Phoenix, Arizona.

From pencils up to the grand opening day for swimming, was less than a year. Starting with the initial site visit and meeting with the city’s aquatic director on July 2, 2020, the pool area was finished for swimming on Memorial Day weekend of 2021. The original design directive from the city was to renovate the existing lap pool and add a new separate play pool with slide. Because of health code requirements on new construction, the direction was changed to build the new play pool inside of the existing lap pool, then add a new lap pool to meet the requirements set forth by the State of Arizona health department. The results were an aquatic facility completed on time and within the City’s budget.
